Day 189 - Year 0 - Trip to Korea Day 2 - 9.7.2019

- Catch-up in the reading and find out places you know in Sweden...

- It's 10 hours flight...
- Land in China.... Rain....

- Leave the Plane
- Go to transfer counter because we could not check-in for final flight
- Learn that we need to get the bags, get a 24h Visa, exit terminal 2, go to Terminal 1.... GRRRRRRR
- Go to Immigration
- Get 24h Visa
- Grab the bags
- Get the bags thru X-ray - First time!
- Exit Terminal 2
- Walk to Terminal 1
- Find out that that project done 2 years ago is part of a big commercial advertisement in China

- Get the bags thru X-ray - Second Time!
- Check-in Baggage for Shangai Airlines
- Go Thru Security
- Take out the following for inspection:
 - Computer (ok, standard)
 - Tablet (ok, standard)
 - Belt (... ok, most times not required)
 - Umbrella
 - Power Bank
 - Keys
 - Jacket that was in backpack
 - Underwear.... (Just kidding, but I was afraid they would ask after all the rest)
- Get the bags thru X-ray - Third Time!
- Wait for flight
- Enter Bus
- Get out of the bus and into the plain with Rain....
- Fly
- Land in Busan..
- Get checked by thermal cameras due to aviary fever
- Get Thru immigration
- Get bags
- Go to other terminal for rent-a-car
- Drive to the hotel
- Take quick Shower
- Walk around to Dinner

- Dinner properly with local beer hydration (VERY IMPORTANT)

- Go back to Hotel

- Write on blog about Sunday...
- Fall asleep siting at the computer while writing
- Complete writing
- Go to bed... and sleep terrible...

Day 187 - Year 0 - Road Trip Day 4 - 7.7.2019

Last day of road trip...

Unfortunately there was not not much to do neither time, but we still went to check the world strongest tide current. Some say it is the strongest, some say it is one of the strongest.

What it matters is that on this day the water current has 12knots, imagine millions of litter of water running at 22km/h.

It is called Saltstrumen.

And that was it, back to Oslo... and heading to Korea...

Day 186 - Year 0 - Road Trip Day 3 - 6.7.2019

... I know I have this habit of saying rain to all my friends on vacations, but you shouldn't all wished it at the same time, because the "witchcraft" worked this time...

Rain, Rain and Rain... It just felt like we were in Bergen...

But we are strong and determined and off we went! Yesterday we were heading west, today we head south, form Ballangen (Narvik) to Fauske (Bodø), because tomorrow we have to fly back to Oslo, and we want to avoid long drive for the flight day.

So we just had to go thru the mountains, waterfalls, and Fjords, and lakes, and waterfalls and mountains, and Fjords, and lakes, and... have I said mountains and waterfalls?

Right before leaving we just found out, that on our track we had a Ferry crossing... totally not in plan... We still had around 45 minutes waiting in the car, and Beatriz just made a "Cholé" dress to the Lion.

it is a bit boring travelling with rain, but nice views along the way, tough not a lot of nice picture today :( Rainy feelings..

PS: Just a Curious Fact... Looking at the weather forecast app, where we are, there is no Sunrise or Sunset time... :) the sun does not set...

Day 185 - Year 0 - Road Trip Day 2 - 5.7.2019

Road Trip... Lofoten - Ballangen (Narvik)

Again writing the day after, we made too many km's... really really too many.

So we woke up and ate the breakfast in the hotel, and up we go...

1st Stop - Walk around Svolvær, who wants a house with sea view?

2nd Stop - one of the most typical Lofoten villages, if not, one of the most beautiful and unique ones. This one is that one that you see pictures on facebook, due to its football field in the middle of the rocks.

Henningsvær is the Name

We are not in the season of having a lot of cod to dry, but there is still a lot of them hanging around.

Above the clouds is where the Mountain Trolls live, and the waterfalls?? it's pee..

3rd Stop - Rørvikstranda - The water looked really really nice, but the temperature? noooooo.... But Beatriz tried the water temperature as she step on a puddle that had completely transparent water.... Eva "Oh Beatriz, again??", splash, also wet feet :)..

4th Stop - Kabelvåg, according to the VLHB (Very Large History Book), it is the oldest fisherman village in Lofoten.

On The Road - The sun finaly showed up on our way to Ballangen and we kept trying to find some hot water without any luck. In the next picture you see a frozen mermaid..

Last Stop for the Day - Our Residence, a Wooden Cabin in Ballangen, Narvik where we watched the Sun at Midnight.

Day 184 - Year 0 - Road Trip Day 1 - 4.7.2019

It's on, I would have wrote yesterday, however I was too tired and was too late when we finally stopped.

It was a long day and a long journey till our destination in Svolvær.

It all started around 6 am with a train ride ride to airport, followed by a breakfast at SAS lounge and right after 1,5 hours flight to Bodø.

Having arrived at Bodø around 11am, our Ferry to Moskenes was only at 3pm, so we went for a ride till the end of the road.

2pm we went for the waiting queue at the harbour, and off we go.

The ferry ride took close to 4 hours and we arrived at Moskenes (Lofoten), close to 7pm, however it was just like 2pm, lots of daylight, because sun was hiding above the clouds.

Take some pictures before getting out of the ferry and off we go, for 2,5 hours ride to our destination. Along the way thru the Lofoten Islands, lots of cod drying, lots of cozy fishermen villages, wonderful, and blue water, white sand beaches....

We dropped our stuff in the hotel room and ran to dinner, because at  22:00 everything was closing, but we managed to eat and buy some "snacks" before the supermarket close at 11pm.

Before going to bed we still had the courage to drive 40min to a beach on the north side of the island to try to watch the midnight sun.... no, we just saw the daylight, nothing else...

Day 183 - Year 0 - Pre-Holidays - 3.7.2019

Last day of work for this week, at last.

I have wrote a bit about my travels, and because I am spending next week in Asia, I decided to take some days off, and tomorrow we will fly.

Because we will be on holidays after I come from the land of Kim (not that one, the one in the South), I call this Pre-Holidays, just like a preparation for the big game, or pre-season.

But instead of going south as in the main game, we are heading North... I know we are already in the North, but we will go to (try) see the Midnight Sun, in Lofoten.

Lofoten is the Caribbean of Norway, in the looks only, because it is cold, and the forecast is not very good.

So, let's see how it goes, flight early morning. Tomorrow, pictures, and Videos!!!

Day 182 - Year 0 - Dope - 2.7.2019

There is a TV series on Netflix called Dope.

This one is very impressive with real images from farmers, mules, dealers consumers, police, etc.

Each episode chooses one world big city, and apparently the most consumed drug, and then it shows the entire supply chain.

On one of these episodes, because I see things, I found out a FC Porto from Portugal T-Shirt that one of the boat drivers in the middle of Colombia was wearing.

Funny, I had some laughs on this...

Day 181 - Year 0 - July :O - 1.7.2019

And suddenly we are in July.

More than half year is gone. I think we should start thinking on Xmas decoration.

The summer this year it was very nice. It was last Saturday, and now is gone, rain and not good temperatures have come back...

Day 180 - Year 0 - After-Party 30.6.2019

After party, we Sleep!

I was amazed with how may hours Beatriz slept.. 11am wake up is a all time record.

In the end of the day, after the rain... we went for another swim and another, this time small, pic-nic just the 3 of us, followed by a sight seeing ride along the mountain.

Not as fun as Saturday but a very nice and enjoyable summer sunday.

Day 179 - Year 0 - !! Party !! - 29.6.2019

Mrs. Eva and her friends just prepared me and Zé (the other birthday boy) a wonderful and unexpected party. 

I knew that it was happen, but never imagined a Top of the Tops Pic-Nic.

From the location to the food, drinks, pillows and "table" on the floor, candles, everything was amazing..

My loved wife even thought about entertainment for the kids, not that a lot was required since they spent most of the day in the water... (from my estimate, Beatriz spent roughly 7 hours, and she didn't became purple :O)

Day 178 - Year 0 - Challenge Yourself - 28.6.2019

Today I completed my June challenge.

I believe that the challenges you should take should come from you, and if someone tells you that you cannot do it, damn it, it will be even better when you complete it.

There are no excuses...

Ahhh, it's cold... ahhh, it's raining... ahhh I am sleepy... ahhh I don't know how... ahhh I cannot do it... If you want to achieve, go and DO, whatever it is, if it is not good in the beginning keep trying, it will get much better. 

In my case is related with riding, this month I did 7500m of vertical climbing, I rode my bike around 13 times uphill and around during this month.

What did I won? Self-esteem, stronger legs, a much better cardio, and some very nice hours of relaxing....

I might have lost some weight as a prize.. The next rides will be softer for low cardio, to maximize the weight loss :)... one step at a time..
