Day 178 - Year 0 - Challenge Yourself - 28.6.2019

Today I completed my June challenge.

I believe that the challenges you should take should come from you, and if someone tells you that you cannot do it, damn it, it will be even better when you complete it.

There are no excuses...

Ahhh, it's cold... ahhh, it's raining... ahhh I am sleepy... ahhh I don't know how... ahhh I cannot do it... If you want to achieve, go and DO, whatever it is, if it is not good in the beginning keep trying, it will get much better. 

In my case is related with riding, this month I did 7500m of vertical climbing, I rode my bike around 13 times uphill and around during this month.

What did I won? Self-esteem, stronger legs, a much better cardio, and some very nice hours of relaxing....

I might have lost some weight as a prize.. The next rides will be softer for low cardio, to maximize the weight loss :)... one step at a time..

Day 177 - Year 0 - New Toy - 27.6.2019

One of my gifts my ladies offered me, was a GoPro...

And I had to try it out off course, so I decided to mount it on my ride and ride.

Off course that the battery does not last as much as my rides, so I decided to make a time-lapse, and add some music to it.

I just took too much pictures 6900 that made the computer processing extremely hard... but it is finalize.

I hope you enjoy, 2 hours ride condensed in 15 minutes.

Day 176 - Year 0 - Sverige 1978 - 26.6.2019

Hei, til min venner fra Sverige, jeg fant noe fra min fødselår.

The year was 1978.

While in Sweden a coin was being punched in some factory, Pappa Bear was coming to life.

So right now the total count of years is 41.

Day 175 - Year 0 - Lucy Silva - 25.6.2019

Dear Reader,

Today we gather around our computer to welcome a new person to our humble home.

Her name is Lucy Silva. 

We already have more than 12 fishes, can't really count how many..  (yes, we are striving to keep them alive) and now we will have Lucy, a more real Tamagotchi that lives inside Sims 4.

So far she just arrived to her virtual home, as Beatriz didn't had more time than create and dress up the young lady.

We will keep track about this little lady.

Day 174 - Year 0 - Summer School - 24.6.2019

Little bear today went for the 3rd time to Summer School (Sommerskolen) with swimming lessons and was accompanied to school by both mamma and pappa

The swimming pool they use is an outdoor swimming pool with cold water heated to 26 degC... it is very very nice.

On the afternoon I went for a ride, and I was wondering why were the cows on the Black Willer slope... in Portuguese I would say "Vais pastar ou vais Esquiar?"

I also found this nice Hytte and Mountain top... it was a bit late, but next time I will explore those walking paths downhill.

Day 173 - Year 0 - Bonfire - 23.6.2019

Today, there was no plans.

But at 11.00am Beatriz got an invitation for a Birthday Party that promptly we said yes, so off we went to city center for an indoor playground where kids jump, play, have the party, eat, and have tons of fun.

Then we came back and Beatriz almost felt asleep in the tram, but we were not finished yet at 4pm...

No, No... We went to a Bonfire, celebrating Sankt Hans / Midsummer -  in good Portuguese is "São João" :)...

Small fire, but ton ok things for kids, close to the beach, picnic, well, very nice end of the day.

Day 172 - Year 0 - Bogstad - 22.6.2019

Sun, heat, summer!!

We looked at the weather forecast, and out we go, we packed our big backpack with food towel, picnic cover, water, toys, and up we go.

So we went to a place called Bogstad Bath Place. I believe I have shown some picture, but today we stood there for long time sun bathing and after that we continued to the farm and to watch the waterfalls.

But lots of clouds, good with sun, bad with clouds.

Great Great day, but apparently I made the walking too long for the little one. :(

Day 171 -Year 0 - Rain 21.6.2019

There are days that taste like an entire weekend, and this friday was almost like it.

Run out of work, arrive home, eat something and hit the trail again.

Another mountain victory, and exactly when we were on top we met a Portuguese also hitting the trails, and suddenly RAIN, lots of it... so 25 minutes downhill in the rain.

It comes without saying that I were soaking wet when we arrived at the city.

Hot bath, dinner and a good night sleep makes miracles.

Day 170 - Year 0 - Trail Hunter - 20.6.2019

Finally after the basketball game on saturday I felt totally recovered.

So I went searching for trails, and almost "drowned" in a swamp in a middle of a trail... 

Well I happen to somehow pass on the first mountain bike trail I cycled last year. It was much better this year, with all the loose stones covered by gravel. Thank you very much Oslo Gentlemen that take care of the trails :).

Day 169 - Year 0 - 1 Episode per day - 19.6.2019

One Tv Series Episode per day keeps the doctor away...

The problem is that I can only see 2x0,5 episodes, the half of the previous day, and falling asleep after trying to watch a new one.

Damn I am getting old, or maybe I need to sleep a little more.

Day 168 - Year 0 - Robocop - 18.6.2019

Today I decided to watch Robocop, no apparent reason, I just felt like some metallic and machine movements were nice.

The thing is that the movie is from 1987 and is so.... classic... those robot movements from the big robot, with very low frame rates, doing in stop motion...

Lovely... I tried to watch Robocop II but I felt asleep, maybe today, and then the 3rd and after, the remake.. :)

Day 167 - Year 0 - Legs Hurt - 17.6.2019

Yesterday I was comfortable at home playing with computers and Lego's... what more can a person ask for? :)

But still today, Monday, I am still suffering from leg pain after the very active Saturday basketball game, maybe within a week I will move without pain.

To add  up, Monday is always sleepy... I just came out with a title for the next Lego Movie from Perryxar..

Day 166 - Year 0 - Lego Movie - 16.6.2019

So the day was dark, so we at Perryxar made the day better by making a super hero video using Lego...

We all laugh here at home, and soon we will release the bloppers for added fun...

Day 165 - Year 0 - Summer Saturday - 15.6.2019

Impressive how fat the weather changes in this land, today we had 26 degrees completely summer day.

Basketball, hiking, cycling, barbecue, coffee in the balcony, what a wonderful and complete day.

Tomorrow according to YR - The Norwegian meteorology app/site showers the entire useful part of the day.

 

Day 164 - Year 0 - Winter Friday - 14.6.2019

The summer keeps fighting to break through, but this afternoon the weather was nice.

So I had the chance to get to a ride, and Beatriz to the trampoline.

I found the top part of a waterfall that I have seen many time from the bottom, but the trail had to be done on foot on the way down. Very steep with rock, very hard to even walk.

When I arrived home Eva just "ordered" me the wash myself together with the bicycle, it was that bad... I even had different tones of brown from several types of mud.

Almost forgetting, this ride was a tryout of new tires, larger and new pedal with increased grip and it makes all the difference.

Day 163 - Year 0 - Almost Weekend - 13.6.2019

Thursday finally, and tomorrow friday.

It is about time for summer to come to Norway, it keeps raining in the morning or in the afternoon, and rarely we have 1 full day of sun!

Regardless of that we still go out and play. Little bear going to the trampoline and big bear for cycling. Mamma bear today stayed taking care of the cave.

Day 163 - Year 0 - Markedsdag 12.6.2019

Today it was Markedsdag in Beatriz school.

This is done annually and every class organise themselves to sell stuff they built or with given toys/stuff that was donated by the kids themselves.

The money will revert to a charity related with children.

This is done during school time and all parents/kids participate and buy stuff from the loot.

A very good initiative that suits much better than just giving money.

Day 162 - Year 0 - Nothing special - 11.6.2019

Those days were nothing special besides coming home and eat a nice grilled turkey steak.

Day 161 - Year 0 - Day of Portugal - 10.6.2019

In this glory day of Portugal we celebrate.

Beatriz spent the entire day playing with friends outside, they used the tent, made a playground in our patio and jumped in the trampoline.

A long ride thru the woods for pappa, 52km, that took me close to Lillestrøm, FYI it is far away.

A lunch of grilled fish with Mamma Bear.. yummi... (Thank you Pedro for the Fishery)

Sunbathing, relax, and to finish the day, grilled Chicken Stick-Meat, "Espetaides" or in Portuguese "Espetadas".

These long weekends are so strange that today I have the feeling that it is Sunday, but in fact it is already Monday.
