Day 161 - Year 0 - Day of Portugal - 10.6.2019

In this glory day of Portugal we celebrate.

Beatriz spent the entire day playing with friends outside, they used the tent, made a playground in our patio and jumped in the trampoline.

A long ride thru the woods for pappa, 52km, that took me close to Lillestrøm, FYI it is far away.

A lunch of grilled fish with Mamma Bear.. yummi... (Thank you Pedro for the Fishery)

Sunbathing, relax, and to finish the day, grilled Chicken Stick-Meat, "Espetaides" or in Portuguese "Espetadas".

These long weekends are so strange that today I have the feeling that it is Sunday, but in fact it is already Monday.

Oh Happy Monday :) "I love holiday Monday's"

Day 160 - Year 0 - Skate and Perrari - 9.6.2019

Today was Rainy, so we had to invent something to do.

In the middle if the falling drops we managed to go skateboard and the little bear was very good.

And then the rain came... We had to hide ourselves in our cave.

So we got some cardboard and made magic.

For people interested the Recipe for the Perrari is the following:

- 2 Card boxes or more

- 1 Roll of packing tape

- 1 Scissor

- 1 Cutter

- Ikea Paint

- 1 stick of sushi for the wheel

- 4 paper brads

- 1 Ikea plate for the rear wheels

- 1 Ikea small plate for the front wheels

- Lots of love and patience :)

So this Perrari is good to go.

Day 159 - Year 0 - Another short ride 8.6.2019

After yesterdays ride I was a bit tired, but still went on a ride.

a short one, just 2,5 hours and up to Brunnkollen.

Brunnkollen is a mountain top where there is a beautiful sigh-seeing over the Fjord.

It is roughly around 400m of altitude. The way till there was mainly  single tracks while in the bottom and main gravel road to the top.

The idea was to downhill on an unknown single track, but there was no time in case something went wrong or if it was too hard and had to carry the bike. Next time...

Day 158 - Year 0 - Fat Burn 7.6.2019

Today it was a day to burn fat, first in the trails, and after in the grill.

What a ride, and what amazing trails, water, mud, roots, rocks, downhill, uphill, carry the bike up, and also down...

Day 157 - Year 0 - Grill - 6.6.2019

Today we FINALLY got the Gas Grill we have been saying that we would buy.. it only took like 3 years.

And I could not go to bed without having it ready.

Now I will for sure burn some fat really fast..

Day 156 - Year 0 - Go and Ride - 5.6.2019

When your day is not good, nothing better than just go out and ride, get yourself some mud and fun.

Day 155 - Year 0 - No Title - 4.6.2019

I really don't know what to write today, nothing but a regular day, normal day at the job, nothing really special.

So I will just relax and drink a glass of red wine, and wait for tomorrow for another working day.

Day 154 - Year 0 - Outlook Engineer - 3.6.2019

That feeling of going back to the office after a long vacation...

It was only 4 days, but sure it looked like much more. I was away from the office on Wednesday so the number of emails just pilled up.

I started the day with around 300 in stock with many many actions required, plus all the normal required tasks..

I am still alive after this blood bath but hardly making it till tomorrow...

(now a moment of "Suponhamos" in the long term...)

Lets imagine a possible talk in a near future...

- Father what do you work with?

- Some people use wrenches at work, others scissors, I use computers. I am a proud ... Outlook Engineer... (luckily I think I am not one of these)

!! HELP !!

Do you know any Outlook Engineers? Do you know how to identify them? Maybe one of these days I will talk about them...

Day 153 - Year 0 - 18 km - 2.6.2019

Beatriz has set a new record cycling in one day.

Previous record was around 12km, now she made it even longer.

Off course that the final 2 km she had "a hand" pushing her, but that count as valid!

Day 152 - Year 0 - Shopping - 1.6.2019

To shop or not to shop, that is the question, said Shakespeare.

I have some philosophy thinking about Shopping.

Ho many time you went to supermarket to buy one lemon ang you shopped 10 watermelons? Maybe not in this quantities but I am 200% sure you, same as me buy a lot of stuff you were not expecting to buy, neither you thought you needed.

Yesterday we went for some shopping and returned home with a lot of stuff.

Why my god why...

 

Day 151 - Year 0 - Gaustatoppen 1883 moh 31.5.2019

Road Trip....

We woke up very late on this free sunny friday, but we made it.

2,5h driving to one of the highest peaks in Norway, according to the experts one of the most beautiful.

So along the way we say very nice spots for pic-nic or even some 1-2 days camping.

After a while we started car climbing up... and up...

And there it was, Gautatoppen with its 1883 meters of Height.

To get to the top there are 2 options, as there is no road. Either you walk or you take the funicular inside the mountain. We decided to take the easiest one.

This is done in 2 stages, the first is a 800 and something straight and it looks like a mining cart.

The second stage is a almost vertical funicular thru the mountain, and you ear water falling inside and below the tracks.

The View from the Top is Breathtaking, highly recommendable.

And we had to come down ;(...

Some other shots along the road in Rjukan, the huge waterfall is a constant.... Be careful and don't fall down.
